This pretty farmhouse is located 2 km away from Castelvecchio di Compito, a small medieval village on the hills between Lucca and Pisa. The area, known as Compitese, is renowned for its fine olive oil and for its beautiful camellias. The house is located in a very quiet position and enjoys magnificent views on the surrounding countryside and the plane below.
During the restoration work, the owners took great care in using only authentic Tuscan materials and they furnished the interiors with a nice combination of antique furniture and modern facilities, including flat tv in each room and air conditioning. Particular attention was given to the kitchen/dining area, very light, comfortable and well organized, and to the outside eating area, close to the stone-built barbecue and pizza-oven, where to enjoy out-door meals with beautiful views.
The 10 x 4 mt big swimming pool (depth 1,50 mt) is located in the most panoramic position in the very well-kept garden in front of the house and it is reserved to the clients. Nelgua is a real oasis of peace and relax, but being at only 15 km from the nearest motorway exit it is also an ideal base for touring Tuscany.
Nelgua consists of:
Ground Floor: living/dining room, kitchen opening on to the garden and outside eating area pantry, guest bathroom.
First floor: double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower only), a twin bedroom, bedroom with French bed, bathroom (shower only).
Other: Castelvecchio di Compito 1,9 km (shops, bar, restaurant, small supermarket). Internet. Cleaning service.

Villa with private pool and views located on the hills surrounding the city of Lucca, Tuscany. Very nice, rustic stone house from the characteristic local pietra di Matraia stone. The holiday home is spacious and is divided on two floors, with a superb location at the top of a 300-metre high hill, offering a fantastic view of the classical Tuscan landscape of olive groves, vineyards and the small stone houses. There is a garden summer house, bbq and pizza oven. Emilia has been restored in a tasteful style with visible wooden beams in the ceilings and original antique terracotta stone floors. The décor is simple but functional. Emilia offers you the following: entrance to living room with fireplace and corner kitchen (oven, gas hob, small fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle and American coffee maker), television, dinette. On the entresol is a large double room with en-suite bathroom with shower. On the second floor you'll find a double room and a twin bedroom, a bathroom and a store room with washing machine. Just a few meters from the house you will find the private swimming pool 4 x 8 mt, deep 1,30 mt. Around the pool there are sun chairs where you can pass your time just relaxing and enjoying the marvellous view. Children in or around the pool must be under adult supervision at all times. Close to the pool there is a small dependence with a small toilet. Heating, internet wifi, mosquito nets in the windows. Aircondition in the bedrooms. The bell tower you see on the pictures only ring on special occasions and not daily. Private villa with a wonderful view over Lucca and the surroundings. Good restaurant within a short distance. This charming, completely detached country house has the most gorgeous location, situated a little way up a hill with a spectacular view of the Tuscan countryside with vineyards, olive trees, characteristic stone houses and Lucca itself and the intact city wall in the background. It is most captivating. Because of its unspoiled landscape, the area Pieve Santo Stefano, is one of the most desirable areas around Lucca. Here one feels at peace with nature yet one is close to the city with all its modern conveniences. Additionally there is a good country inn within short distance. Agli Orti belongs to a manor house dating from the 15th century located 50 meters up the opposite hill, across a country road. This villa is surrounded by a beautiful and well maintained garden as well as a fantastic view. Here, in the middle of the park is a recessed round swimming pool with a diameters of 10 mt, a depth of 1,40 mt. There is a poolside area with table and chairs. The pool is shared with the owner. Children in or around the pool must be under adult supervision at all times. The house has two floors: The main floor has a large, well-lit living room with a characteristic stove. It also has a large bay window that faces the panoramic view and a tv. The characteristic brick kitchen is of good quality and has an oven, refrigerator, freezer, grill, micro, toaster, Italian moka, kettle and dishwasher. In a small storage room is the washing machine. Bathroom with shower. On the second floor is a double bedroom with bathroom en-suite (shower), two twin bedrooms with a shared bathroom with shower and hairdryer. The view from the second floor is even more impressive! The house is furnished in Tuscan style with terracotta floors and beamed ceilings. In front of the house there is a covered area with deck furniture and barbecue. From here there is a view towards the valley and Lucca. Internet wifi, private parking inside the property.
