A very spacious lodging situated only 300 meters outside Lucca's medieval city walls with the whole centre and the railway station within walking distance, private parking
This location has some obvious advantages; You can drive directly to the lodging and park in its inside parking area. You can walk to a variety of stores and shops, to restaurants, and to public transportation. An added asset is a large and private terrace, unusual in a lodging with such a central location.
The location is ideal for people who prefer city life to country idyll as well as for people who value being close to public transportation. We want you to note that the house is close to the train station, but as with all cities, the trains drive slowly close to residential areas and there is no traffic during the night.
The house is very charming; it is old, but newly restored, the décor is cozy. The floors are the typical graniglia stone and the ceilings have exposed beams.
The interior of Arianna flows over three floors and consists of:
An entry, a living area with stereo and smart tv, and a large well-equipped kitchen with dining area (gas burners, oven, dish washer, microwave oven, fridge w/freezer compartment). It is a great surprise to walk directly from the kitchen on to the very private terrace made of medieval stones where in the daytime you can enjoy the sun, or find shade under the trees and the large parasols. Later in the day you can grill here and enjoy the quiet of the evening under the trees. It almost feels as if the place is in the country, which of course it was when the house was first built.
On the first floor are two double bed rooms and a bathroom with shower.
On the top floor are two double bedrooms and a bathroom and shower. All rooms are spacious and sunny.
Private parking - washing machine available.
Other: Everything is within walking distance restaurants, shopping, supermarket, banks etc.

The house in Lucca is a great location! Right across from the train station but very quiet still with the windows closed. Easy to walk to the wall and into the city center. Private parking spot behind a gate and a cute little courtyard. 5 minute drivsee more
The house in Lucca is a great location! Right across from the train station but very quiet still with the windows closed. Easy to walk to the wall and into the city center. Private parking spot behind a gate and a cute little courtyard. 5 minute drive to 2 grocery stores and walking distance to several bakeries. We would highly recommend this place based on the location! We took several day trips to Cinque Terre and Florence via train.

Lovely big house with large comfortable beds with crisp clean linen. Being so close to the station was great if travelling by train - not sure how anyone found the noise of the station unbearable. Heard the odd tannoy but electric trains are very quisee more

Heard the odd tannoy but electric trains are very quiet - didn’t hear any. Lovely, private garden (nicer than expected) which got the sun all day. Large table for eating with big parasol for shade. Short walk into the walled city and large supermarkets within walking distance. Kitchen was very well equipped - we didn’t cook at all but looked like there was everything you might need. The house was perfect for our group of six.

Great house - very clean, well appointed, fantastic kitchen (fully equipped), beautiful back garden/sitting area and the beds were amazing (adjustable and very comfortable). We travelled when temperatures were 31-35 degrees, having fans helped.

Vi har haft en skøn ferie. Huset levede helt op til vores forventninger og mere til. Skøn gårdhave som vi opholdt os meget i. Vi havde fantastisk vejr. Også dejligt med parkering ved huset. Vi var to der kom med toget fra Firenze, havde lige taget etsee more
Vi har haft en skøn ferie. Huset levede helt op til vores forventninger og mere til. Skøn gårdhave som vi opholdt os meget i. Vi havde fantastisk vejr. Også dejligt med parkering ved huset. Vi var to der kom med toget fra Firenze, havde lige taget et par dage i byen, var overrasket over hvor tæt det det lå på stationen. Men intet problem for os i forhold til støj fra togene. Også afstanden til selve byen var noget vi havde prioriteret højt, så vi kunne nyde god mad og dejlig vin, og så bare en gåtur fra huset. Fødselsdagsmiddagen var også en stor succes,skøn mad og masser af det. Det har fungeret fint hele vejen igennem, og dejlig med den personlige kontakt og hurtig tilbagemelding. Også været glad for at læse og blive inspireret af Jeres blog. Vi siger mange tak for en helt igennem dejlig oplevelse. Og jeg anbefaler Danitalia til venner og bekendte.

WiFi and large fenced garden. 100% privat pool, terrace, garden, house - not shared with anyone. The property is very centrally located for visiting Lucca itself as well as all the famous cities of Tuscany. The surrounding area offers experiences such as the ancient villas "Ville Lucchese", several paths for hiking at the foot of the hills, so you can enjoy the beautiful Tuscan countryside, which in this area is characterized by vineyards and olive groves. It is no coincidence that the local aristocratic aristocratic families have built their impressive country residences right here over the centuries. There are only 1.5 km to small shops and 1.9 km to the supermarket and the trip is done on paths through nature - maybe a brisk morning jog to pick up bread for breakfast.
