Description
Calu with private pool is an ideal property for those looking to enjoy the Tuscan countryside while being close to the Versilia seaside with long sand beaches. It is walking distance (less than 1km) from the town Camaiore, set at the foot of the Apuan Alps. The well-known beach towns of Pietrasanta and Forte dei Marmi, famous for wonderful restaurants, chic boutiques and night life, are also very close. So is Lucca and Pisa. Furthermore, the villa is only 8km from the motorway exit hence perfect for travelers looking to visit the Tuscan region with its numerous attractions.
The owner of Calu fell in love with this idyllic location, and bought it when still a ruin that she has transformed into a wonderful holiday base for her family and friends. The restoration was designed by the owner's daughter - a renowned modern architect - who emphasized the light on the spaces rather than trying to keep the original traditional Tuscan style. The property now consists of three different units, a main house and two guest houses, thus making Calu ideal place for couples looking to holiday together yet enjoying their own privacy.
Main house:
Open space including sitting area with fireplace, dining area and kitchen opening through French windows onto the garden and terrace furnished for 'al fresco' dining; double bedroom; twin bedroom; 2 bathrooms (one with bath and one with shower).

A particular feature of the main house is the large open space room including a sitting area with fire-place, a dining area and a large kitchen. It all open on to the garden and to the covered veranda furnished for 'al fresco' dining. Guests can also enjoy fresh vegetables and fruits from the vegetable garden and fruit trees kept by a gardener.
In front of the main house and in the middle of the garden is the beautiful private salt water swimming pool (15 x 4 meters) surrounded by deck chairs.
