Here you will find the very sought-after combination of a detached house with its private pool, surrounded by a fenced parklike garden and walking distance to a couple of restaurants and a supermarket. The city of Lucca is only 3.5 km from the house. The road where the house is situated rises among the hills towards Pieve Santo Stefano, where you can visit one of the vineyards or buy olive oil produced in the area. The area is also suitable for hiking tours overlooking vineyards, olive groves and cypresses in typical Tuscan countryside.
Surrounded by lush nature, the house is secluded in a corner of the park close to the entrance. Just in front, there is a wonderful terrace covered with wisteria. Here below you can eat your meals and enjoy the scents and colors. On the other side of the house, more in the shade, there is another outdoor area with table and chairs.
A bit away from the house, in the middle of the child-friendly park and in front of the ancient manor house, where the helpful owner lives, there is a 5 x 10 mt swimming pool with a varying depth from 1.50 mt to 2.30 mt. Around the pool there are sun loungers and parasols. The pool private and is not shared with the owner. Children in or around the pool must be under adult supervision at all times.
The house is very spacious and is divided into two floors. It consists of:
Entrance from the terrace into a large open space room divided into living room with sofa bed, tv and fireplace and a dining room with long table. A toilet. A large kitchen which is bright and well-equipped (oven, gas stove, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, micro, toaster, kettle, washing machine). Here you can cook your meals together, using delicious Tuscan ingredients. The nearest supermarket has many local products like for example homemade pasta but also very fresh vegetables.
On the first floor there is a bedroom with a double bed, a twin bedroom, a bathroom, a passage room with a stylish single bed, another double bedroom with attached bathroom.
Very special and personal decor with attention to details, a nice mix of modern and ancient Tuscan style. It feels more a real home than a rental home. The owner asks guests not to smoke indoors.

Dejligt stort hus, fuldt ekviperet og skøn privat pool. Værtinden meget hjælpsom og imødekommende, hun taler glimrende engelsk, så ingen misforståelser .
Desværre en del myg i haven, pga den frodige beplantning, som måske skulle studses lidt, så det see more

Ferien og opholdet i huset La Merlaia var intet mindre end fantastisk. Vi - 4 voksne og 2 børn - nød vores 2 uger i rolige, smukke og idylliske toscanske omgivelser. Vi var yderst imponeret af boligen og omgivelserne. Vi kommer tilbage!

Generell war das Haus wirklich mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt. Zwischem dem Haus und dem Pool ist eine riesige Wiese, auf der die Kinder toll spielen konnten und der Pool ist ein absoluter Traum! Wir haben den Urlaub absolut genossen und werden auf alle Fälle wiederkommen. Hausbesitzer, ist super lieb, war immer erreichbar und hat uns sogar selbstgemachtes Eis vorbeigebracht! Es gab wirklich nichts zu bemängeln, wir können das Haus absolut empfehlen! Vielen dank für den tollen Urlaub.

The holiday home is spacious and is divided on two floors, with a superb location at the top of a 300-metre high hill, offering a fantastic view of the classical Tuscan landscape of olive groves, vineyards and the small stone houses. There is a garden summer house, bbq and pizza oven. Emilia has been restored in a tasteful style with visible wooden beams in the ceilings and original antique terracotta stone floors. The décor is simple but functional. Emilia offers you the following: entrance to living room with fireplace and corner kitchen (oven, gas hob, small fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle and American coffee maker), television, dinette. Just a few meters from the house you will find the private swimming pool 4 x 8 mt, deep 1,30 mt. Around the pool there are sun chairs where you can pass your time just relaxing and enjoying the marvellous view. Children in or around the pool must be under adult supervision at all times. Close to the pool there is a small dependence with a small toilet. Heating, internet wifi, mosquito nets in the windows. Aircondition in the bedrooms. Detached farmhouse located in the hills between Lucca and Pisa. Private swimming pool. Cleaning service included. This pretty farmhouse is located 2 km away from Castelvecchio di Compito, a small medieval village on the hills between Lucca and Pisa. The area, known as Compitese, is renowned for its fine olive oil and for its beautiful camellias. The house is located in a very quiet position and enjoys magnificent views on the surrounding countryside and the plane below. During the restoration work, the owners took great care in using only authentic Tuscan materials and they furnished the interiors with a nice combination of antique furniture and modern facilities, including flat tv in each room and air conditioning. Particular attention was given to the kitchen/dining area, very light, comfortable and well organized, and to the outside eating area, close to the stone-built barbecue and pizza-oven, where to enjoy out-door meals with beautiful views. The 10 x 4 mt big swimming pool (depth 1,50 mt) is located in the most panoramic position in the very well-kept garden in front of the house and it is reserved to the clients. Nelgua is a real oasis of peace and relax, but being at only 15 km from the nearest motorway exit it is also an ideal base for touring Tuscany. Nelgua consists of: Ground Floor: living/dining room, kitchen opening on to the garden and outside eating area pantry, guest bathroom.
