Description
Detached villa with sea views from the spacious terrace. Private swimming pool. Air conditioning, wifi. Walking distance to a small village. Close to the beach in Versilia.
You will stay in an ancient villa from the 1500s, in the middle of a small characteristic group of houses situated on 240 meters height on the hills between Lucca and the Versilia coast. The place offers stunning views over the lake, Lago di Massaciuccoli which is a protected WWF oasis, best known because here the well known composer Giacomo Puccini wrote some of his most famous works. It is told that he didn't only come here to join the beautiful view but also to get inspired by the sound of the church bell. If one listen to it carefully it is possible to recognize the tones from the last act of Tosca.There is also a small village with grocery and a restaurant which can be reached by foot while enjoying the spectacular views.
The property is built like a small fortress village consisting of the ancient villa and three rental apartments. All are slightly apart from each other and has its own private entrance.The caretaker and his wife also live on the property.
Vilorien has a private and fully shileded terrace with dining table from where you can enjoy views of the countryside and the sea in the background.
The 4 x 7 meters large swimming pool with a depth på1,50 mt. is completely private and is not shared with the other guests. Around the pool are sun beds and sun umbrellas.The pool is located just below the villa. Children in or around the pool must be under adult supervision at all times.
Villa is divided into several levels and consists of:
Ground floor: kitchen (oven, gas hob, fridge with freezer, freezer, dishwasher, kettle, microwave oven, toaster, espresso maker). Living room with TV and fireplace, living room with a big table perfect for dinners inside, toilet with washing machine.
On the first floor: A spacious double bedroom with TV and an en-suite bathroom with tub/shower.The bedroom is connected with another double bedroom.
On the second floor: A large double room with a TV and a private bathroom with tub/shower. The bedroom is connected with another double bedroom.

The decor is homely and personal because the owners themselves use the villa now and then. On the walls there are pictures of the family's ancestors mixed with paintings in Andy Warhol style. Alive and contemporary in contrast with the ancient building.

In front of the house there is a large furnished and shielded terrace where you can sit and enjoy the view over the beautiful landscape characterized by olive groves and the Versilia coast in the background. Perfect for fresco meals.Outside there is also a small jacuzzi pool and table tennis.
Access to the pizza oven and barbecue. The last 50 mt. the house is a gravel road.
Other: grocery and restaurant in the village 500 mt. - more in Piano di Conca 3,5 km - supermarket in Massarosa 7 km. Sandy beaches 10 km ca.
